Programming Overview

Girls Who Get It creates experiences that help girls explore beyond what they know, develop real-world skills, build meaningful connections, and discover what’s possible for their futures.

Our Programs

  • Enriching Outings

GWGI outings give girls opportunities to experience new environments, cultures, careers, and spaces they may not otherwise have access to.

    Outings may include:

    • College tours

    • Career exploration

    • Museums & exhibits

    • Creative experiences

    • Community events

  • Honest Conversations

Growing up comes with a lot of questions. GWGI will host frequent, participant-led girl talk circles where the girls can feel free asking hard questions and having real discussions.

    Topics may include:

    • Confidence, self-worth, & identity

    • Boundaries

    • Personal growth

    • Goals

    • Relationships

  • Hands-On Workshops

We don’t just talk about life skills- we’re giving girls opportunities to put them into practice as well.

    Potential workshops may include:

    • Financial literacy & Budgeting

    • Entrepreneurship

    • Etiquette classes

    • Goal setting

    • College & career readiness

  • Volunteering & Community Service

GWGI gives the girls opportunities to acquire volunteer and community service hours, as it is important to not only gain resources from your community, but to give them back to others as well.

    Community service initiatives may include:

    • Soup kitchens

    • Animal shelters

    • Putting together hygiene kits for women’s shelters

    • Writing holiday cards to hospitals, nursing homes, & military personnel

    • Etc.
