Meet our founder and the visionary behind Girls Who Get It!

“As a licensed cosmetologist, MBA graduate, and aspiring entrepreneur, I’ve always sought to build my career on spaces where people-especially girls can feel seen. The idea of Girls Who Get It came from sitting with gratitude-realizing how blessed I’ve been in my life, and feeling called to share that with girls who haven’t had that same access. I believe GWGI can be the next big program that allows you and young adults to thrive and prosper.”

Meet the Founder

Did you know…

Between ages 8 and 14, girls’ self confidence drops by 30%- and without consistent mentorship, that gap rarely closes on its own.

  • 53% of girls report feeling persistently sad or hopeless.

  • 86% of girls say a mentor would make them feel more confident.

Our Mission

Girls Who Get it empowers underprivileged girls ages 12-17 across New Jersey through enriching outings, honest conversations, and hands-on workshops that affirm their worth and expand what they believe is possible for their lives.

Our Vision

We envision a future where every girl, regardless of her circumstances grows up knowing she belongs in any room she walks into-confident, supported, and equipped to pursue the life she envisions for herself.

Multiple hands of diverse individuals stacked together in a gesture of unity.

Core Values

  • Respect: Every girl’s worth is inherent.

  • Belonging: Girls are welcomed as someone who deserves this, not someone being rescued.

  • Sisterhood: Connections built on honesty and consistency

  • Gratitude: We honor that access isn’t universal - and we cultivate generosity in return.

  • Showing up: Reliability is everything.

And that’s what Girls Who Get It is all about.

We believe every girl deserves to be seen, supported, challenged, and reminded of what is possible for her life. GWGI exists to create the experiences, connections, and opportunities that help girls discover their voice, recognize their worth, and step confidently into the person they're becoming.
